Six things that matter when you choose a watchmaker

Deep expertise

Written records

Clear communication

Specialist tools

Transparent pricing

Realistic timelines

Expertise that comes from years of work, not certificates alone

Our head watchmaker spent over a decade learning mechanical horology — in a Swiss training environment and then through extended practical work across a wide range of calibres. Technical knowledge matters, but so does the accumulated sense of what a movement feels like when it's right and when it isn't.

  • Trained in mechanical horology through formal courses and extended practice
  • Experience with Swiss, Japanese, and vintage movements
  • Comfortable with unusual and less-documented calibres

"Unusual calibres are interesting to us, not daunting. A lesser-known movement still has logic to it — you just have to take the time to understand it."

— Khun Nat, Founder

Ultrasonic cleaning system for movement parts

Electronic timegrapher for regulation measurement

Pressure tester for water resistance verification

Watchmaker-grade lubricants from established suppliers

The right tools for fine mechanical work

Workshop equipment matters. We use tools that match the precision the movements require — including a timegrapher for accurate rate measurement, an ultrasonic cleaning system, and a pressure tester for water resistance where applicable. These aren't extras; they're part of doing the work properly.

Communication that keeps you at ease

Leaving a watch with someone requires trust. We think that trust is maintained through clear, timely communication — a condition report before work begins, updates if anything unexpected arises, and a straightforward answer if you call or write to ask how things are going.

  • Written condition note shared before any work begins
  • No scope changes without your approval
  • Easy to reach by phone, Mon–Sat

Questions are always welcome

There is no such thing as a nuisance enquiry at Sukjai. If you'd like to know how your watch is coming along, or simply want to discuss a piece before bringing it in — we're glad to hear from you.

What Sets Us Apart

Things not every watchmaker offers

Postal intake, Thailand-wide

We accept watches sent by registered courier from anywhere in Thailand. We guide you on packing and return the watch by the same care.

Full service documentation

Every completed service includes a written record: work performed, parts renewed, and timegrapher readings. Useful for insurance and future care.

Honest service recommendations

If a watch needs only a light refresh, we say so. We won't suggest a full overhaul where it isn't warranted — that's not how we want to work.

Realistic timelines, communicated clearly

We give timeframes we can keep, and if anything changes we let you know. We'd rather be honest about duration than promise a date we can't meet.
